Chlorine bleach is the strong liquid bleach used to disinfect toilets, sinks, etc. This should not be confused with colour-safe bleach or the safe oxygen bleaches contained in detergents.

For garments suitable for use with chlorine bleach, the manufacturer’s recommendation on the strength of the solution should be followed (usually 1 part bleach to 100 parts water, for use with fabrics).
