Bumps and blemishes

Your baby's skin is getting used to the outside world so it's normal to get a few spots and bumps along the way.

The most common spots are called milia - otherwise known as 'milk spots'. These can appear up to 10 days after birth.

Treatment is rarely needed though as they usually fade in a few months. If your baby's skin looks a bit spotty, hormones could be the cause. It's actually your hormones still circulating in your baby's system that are creating the breakouts.

Try not to worry too much as again, these will fade. Stick to simple skincare routine of washing his face twice a day in cooled, boiled water, and patting it dry.
